Strategies of the Civil War...

  1. Keep the troops massed together.
  2. "Pincer movement" - Break strategy #1 and send a portion of the troops to attack a "flank" (side) of the enemy.
    1. This is usually followed by the bulk of the troops attacking the center of the enemy.
  3. "Double pincer movement" - Striking both flanks at the same time, then attacking the center.
  4. High ground - It's easier to hold the higher ground because gravity is on your side.

Rules of the game...

  1. The "generals" will position their troops.
  2. Each general takes turns. You can move any or all of your troops 1 square.
  3. To attack, enter your enemy's square. We'll roll dice to see which soldier wins. The loser is removed.
  4. While being attacked on high ground, the attacking the high ground must "win by 2".
  5. Fight until one army is dead or they surrender.
